meaning: do you speak Dutch?
Is this your first Dutch lesson? If all goes well, no, because we assume that you have first completed the short introductory course. This introductory course is a bit like the well-known courses for tourists who want to make themselves understood in a foreign country. But now the real course starts. In the introduction lesson you have already red, what in our opinion is the best way to study.
With every lesson we start by giving the so-called learning goals. Our language coach informed us about the meaning. By means of the learning goals you will be informed what topics you will find in a particular lesson. This improves:
1. Direction and Focus: They provide a clear direction and focus for the learning process, helping individuals understand what they need to achieve.
2. Motivation: Clear goals can be motivating, giving learners something to strive for and a sense of purpose.
3. Planning and Structure: Learning goals help in planning and structuring learning activities, ensuring that each step contributes towards the overall objective.
Overall, learning goals are essential for effective learning as they provide a roadmap for success, enhance motivation, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning process.-
Our learning goals for this lesson are:
1. Learn basic expressions: we start with common expressions.
2. Words (part 1: for learning pronunciation). This is the first time that we will introduce short videos. Although this is also a way to learn new words, that is not our primary aim. Our primary aim is to learn pronunciation. We know that this part can be boring, but it is very important. The videos are very elementary and that can be boring. But keep in mind: this part is very essential
3. "Where is?": a well known question and we will show you examples of the use of this question. With the help of our illustration language this part will not cause any problems.
4. Words (part 2): for learning pronunciation). This is the second time in this lesson that we focus on pronunciation.
5. Alphabet: a very important part in order to start reading.
At the end we present a series of flashcards. This collection is largely based on the series of flashcards given in our introductory course. So, in fact it is a way to repeat what you should have learned before. But please keep in mind: learning is always based on repetition.
This lesson offers no difficult grammatical subjects and many times we will make use of our special illustration language. Therefore it is an easy lesson!
